Quick Synopsis:
A group of survivors composed of soldiers and civilians have taken refuge from the undead hoard deep within the earth in a historical records preservation tunnel. Amongst the records and relics from history’s past the group tries to find a way to stop the zombies so that mankind can survive. Dr. Logan, better known as Dr. Frankenstein, may have discovered a way to connect with the zombies when when his test subject, Bub, shows signs of intelligence. Little does the group realize that the real threat is actually themselves…
The Bad:
- Some of the worst acting ever from the survivors.
- Very little creative use of their location.
The Good:
- The intelligent zombie, Bub, was really well done.
- The zombie corral was a pretty neat idea.
- Really well done special effects.
Final Thoughts:
A pretty weak and mediocre follow up to Dawn of the Dead (1978). I think this movie has become my new standard for worst acting ever (for the survivors). The intelligent zombie, Bub, was the best part of this movie. I think this movie has perfected the half mutilated zombie look.
