Quick Synopsis:
Ms Brown, a loan officer at a bank, aspires to be the assistant manager and is competing for the job against the total brown noser Stu. She makes the tough decision to deny an old gypsy woman an extension on her mortgage, who in retribution, curses Ms Brown leaving her only three days to rid herself of the curse or be dragged to Hell.
The Bad:
- Waaay to predictable.
- I couldn’t get past the Mac guy (Justin Long) trying to be anything other than a Mac guy.
- The director has an obsession with things flying in the main character’s mouth. It happened so often it got ridiculous.
- The whole promotion to assistant manager part of the story was too contrived and didn’t seem realistic.
- Too much hair was being pulled from the girl’s head. Personally I think people would start to notice bald spots.
- I think people would be a bit more concerned if I had a bloody nose severe enough to spray across the desk and completely cover my boss.
The Good:
- There were some decent scary aspects.
- The shadowy goat demon was pretty cool.
- The old gypsy hag was perfectly grotesque.
- Creepy hands pulling victims to Hell through a firey crack in the ground was cool.
- The psychic character (Rham Jas) was interesting and well done.
Final Thoughts:
Mediocre. This movie is more gross than scary.
